Wedding Venues Volume 2

Following on from our recent blog we have another Scottish Wedding Venues Volume 2 Blog, with 5 more fantastic locations!  Once again we’ve covered 5 areas of Scotland with more wonderful venues that we love to visit with our products.  Hopefully you will enjoy our latest Blog and maybe find it helpful in finding your perfect Wedding or Event venue.

Prestonfield House Hotel

Just five minutes from Edinburgh City Centre and located next to Arthur’s Seat, is the stunning Prestonfield House Hotel.  A 5-star gem and one of Edinburgh’s finest historic buildings.  This luxury hotel is one of the best in Scotland, with beautiful gardens and an 18-hole golf course surrounding it.  The events & wedding venue is situated to the side of the main hotel, in what can only be described as a breathtaking magical circular space, very unique!!

It has a large stage with space for a huge Dance Floor, we did a 30ft x 20ft LED Dance floor here, beneath it.  Tables and chairs fill the room ready for family and friends to enjoy what will be a fantastic night.

One of our favourite venues in Scotland, it truly is a must see! Get your camera’s ready for the peacocks as you make your way up the driveway or walk round the grounds.

Boturich Castle

Our “one to look out for” in this Wedding Venues Volume 2 Blog, starts with a trip to Loch Lomond.  Us Scots burst with pride visiting Loch Lomond with its magnificent scenery Scotland is renowned for.  30 minutes from Glasgow, near to Glasgow Airport and some of the most breath taking scenery we have, yes Loch Lomond is the place to be.  Which venue?  Look no further than Boturich Castle, checklist at the ready:

  • Amazing views of the Loch – Check
  • Stunning Castle with Beautiful Grounds – Check
  • A pavilion that can hold 50 – 250 people – Check
  • Outdoor space for a wedding ceremony that looks out over the water – Check

Boturich Castle is a must see in any couples search for a Wedding Venue, we can’t wait to get back!

Kinkell Byre

We love a trip to St Andrew’s and it is always better when our destination is Kinkell Byre.  This huge converted barn with its rustic charm is certainly not the norm, I personally don’t believe there are many better venues that we have visited in Scotland when it is dressed for a wedding or event.  The barn has a marvellous entrance, perfect for a drinks reception and a break out area later in the day.

Then make your way into the main hall, WOW, a beautiful space that is only enhanced with carefully placed fairy lights and flowers to compliment the rustic charm of the wooden and stone surroundings.  A fantastic destination wedding and event space that should be on any luxury wedding wish list.  We can’t wait for our next Photo Booth, Light Up Letters or other Booths4You products hire there!

29 Glasgow

Want to be in the centre of the action, look no further than 29 Glasgow, located in the heart of Glasgow.  A beautiful 19th Century building looking onto Royal Exchange Square and its amazing fairy light canopy.  This award winning venue is renowned for its fantastic cuisine and 5-star service, with couples having the choice of different spaces for their special day.

The Supper Club is where most of the action takes place with its exposed brick work, large fireplace and a separate outdoor terrace for a break from the dance floor.  The Apartment is a cool break out space for a drinks reception or during the evening turnaround and lets not forget the Roof Terrace, the only one in Glasgow!

Not the easiest venue for suppliers to access but Booths4You has lots of experience here.  With the help of the fantastic team at 29 Glasgow, we will make sure everything runs smoothly.

Harelaw Farm

A new venue to the Events and Wedding industry but Harelaw Farm is a cracker!!  Another converted barn located just outside Glasgow in the middle of wonderful countryside for amazing photograph opportunities.  The Hay Barn provides a large space for up to 250 seated guests, with adjacent bar.  The hall has fantastic high ceilings, exposed brickwork and that all important barn rustic charm.

With such a huge space there is plenty of room for dancing in front of a great stage for Bands and DJ’s, whilst the high ceilings and hall poles are decorated with fairy lights, beautiful!  Another must see venue in Scotland, it will take your breath away.  We have hired many Photo Booths and Giant Light Up Letters here and we can’t wait to get back.

Scotland is blessed to have such wonderful scenery and history, we hope that our latest blog, Scottish Wedding Venues Volume 2, has helped to highlight 5 of the best venues that make the most of this.  If Booths4You can be of any assistance at these venues or anywhere else in Scotland, don’t hesitate to contact us.
