Scottish Wedding Venues Volume 1

Welcome to volume 1 of our look at Scottish Wedding Venues,  we believe Scotland has some of the best locations for getting married and will hopefully show this across all the blogs we do on it.  Us Scots moan about the miserable Scottish weather, but that’s what creates the lush green scenery around these spectacular venues.  Add this to the historic buildings and friendly staff, we really do have fantastic options for newly engaged couples.

Blog about Scottish Wedding Venues - Trump Turnberry

Trump Turnberry

As Scottish Wedding Venues go, Trump Turnberry in our opinion is up there with the best, if not The Best.  A long journey for most to this spectacular venue, but what an amazing setting it is for a Wedding.  Leave the building to one side for the moment, the breathtaking backdrop of the sea and beautiful countryside must be a dream for Wedding Photographers.

The opulence of the building is something else with a number of rooms to choose from to hold your event.  The Grand Ballroom with it’s luxury carpets, furniture, fixtures and fittings makes the most wonderful setting for your special day.  What really makes this venue is the staff, they have been nothing short of fantastic with us.  Always helpful, accommodating and most importantly friendly.

So far we have been hired here for our LED Dance Floors, Photo Booths, Magic Mirrors, Giant Light Up Letters and Mood Lighting.  We honestly can’t wait to get back as we always thoroughly enjoy our time at Trump Turnberry.

The Beautiful Crossbasket Castle, a part of our Scottish Wedding Venues Blog Volume 1Crossbasket Castle

Situated on the outskirts of Blantyre and East Kilbride this hidden gem has a growing reputation for luxury and quality.  Following extensive renovations Crossbasket Castle is an idyllic Wedding setting, its sandstone building and manicured gardens are breathtaking, but wait until you get inside.

Rob and his team’s attention to detail is second to none, with the hotel always looking perfect.  A separate ceremony room is only the start as the Grand Ballroom is spectacular, as you enter from the main hotel you stand at the top of the staircase looking down on a beautiful room with amazing high ceilings and wooden beams.  There is a great stage for your band or DJ to really get the party started…perfect!

We love our visits to Crossbasket Castle, slightly biased as it’s less than 2 miles from our East Kilbride base.  However, don’t take our word for it, go and visit; the gardens and building will take your breath away!

Blog about Scottish Wedding Venues, Volume 1 which includes the amazing Boclair HouseBoclair House

Another fantastic venue is Boclair House in Bearsden, where you are immediately taken aback by the beautiful building when you turn up the long drive way.  Add to that the lovely gardens with an idyllic spot in the middle to get married in front of family and friends.

Even better is Christmas time; a massive tree with giant baubles and lights really does provide the wow factor.

Inside is just as spectacular with luxury furnishings and fittings, including amazing chandeliers and beautiful furniture and break out rooms to spread your day across.  At night the main room looks fantastic with perfectly placed mood lighting bringing a real ambiance to the room.

Our Photo Booths can either go in the alcove area or beside the bar as you enter the room.  The LED Dance Floor is situated in the middle of the room, we really do love this fantastic venue.

Blog about Scottish Wedding Venues with Cornhill Castle as one of the main ones discussedCornhill Castle

A trip down the M74, then a 10 mile drive through the countryside and you reach Cornhill Castle.  Another lovely wedding venue that is a must for all couples to visit before deciding on a venue.

Spectacular gardens and a stunning building for perfect wedding pictures is only the start.  Once you enter the hotel you are met with a magnificent grand ballroom with a great breakout area for after your meal.  For your evening reception this opens up to give even more room for evening guests to join the celebrations.

In terms of suppliers setting up here, Booths4You has hired here many times.  Any venue decoration and Giant Light Up Letters would be put in place on the morning of the wedding.  The Photo Booth, Magic Mirror, Candy Cart or Donut Wall can be put in place in the breakout area as you finish your meal and finally an LED Dance Floor can be laid during the turnaround.  Then let’s party!

Scottish Wedding Venues Blog volume 1 that includes The Balmoral Hotel in EdinburghThe Balmoral, Edinburgh

Last but by no means least is a trip over to our capital city to the stunning Balmoral Hotel, situated on the world famous Princes Street.  This hotel is absolutely beautiful inside where only the best will do.

There are a number of rooms that can accommodate any size of wedding, with the Grand Ballroom large and spectacular.  With a number of the rooms connected to the ballroom, there are lots of break out options.

Not the easiest for suppliers to access but with our experience of the venue we will make it an easy process so that you can enjoy your day without any worries.

Five amazing locations to start our Scottish Wedding Venues blogs.  These are but the tip of the iceberg as Scotland has lots of outstanding places to get married.
