Booths4You, what a first 18 months!

After 17 years in the very male orientated 5-a-side football business, I stepped, sorry leapt into an industry where I had no experience, but what I did have was an idea and a plan. Looking back now it wasn’t that much of a leap as they are both customer facing with the priority around providing a first class service.

In my previous role I ran accounts and events for some of the UK and Europe’s biggest companies around football events, so why couldn’t I transfer these skills to ensuring that the part we play in someone’s special day is best in class.

Booths4You was created; including a website built with my own two hands with nothing more than learnings from YouTube and designing the logo and literature that would support us in our first 12 months.

We researched and bought the best Photo Booth, Giant Light-up LOVE Letters and Candy Cart from www.photobooth.co.uk, ensuring that we had quality products to support the top notch service we were going to provide. The following week we were set up and ready to see what The Scottish Wedding Show at Glasgow’s SEC would bring for our new business venture. It was a busy weekend with 8,000 attendees but we had a blast meeting the brides-to-be and thankfully took some bookings as well! It wasn’t long until 2016 was upon us and it passed in a blink of an eye! 119 Photo Booth bookings in year one was more than we expected, but something we look back on with pride. It was a great feeling knowing that we were providing a great service and playing a part in making someones wedding, party or event a little bit more special.

We have learnt loads, visited great venues and hotels across Scotland and met lots of fantastic people within this exciting industry. We’ve had lots of fun with our fabulous customers, some of which have already re-booked us for other family or work gatherings, demonstrating that we definitely did something right!

Year two brings exciting business expansion that we look forward to sharing with everyone as the year unfolds.
